For 20 years I engaged in intensive personal development and spiritual inquiry and have, over those years, run training programs in relationships, parenting, meditation, and leadership. All of these trainings shared the same essence; exploring the way people connect to others and themselves in the heart. This has been my passion.
Then, a couple of years ago it was with great joy that I discovered Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and in particular the power of empathy to dissolve the perceived separateness between myself and others. For me NVC provided the bridge to close the gap between my inner experience and how I related to others in the world.... in a way that fostered connection and love in a really practical way.
I have trained with 3 of Australia’s certified trainers, Dorset Campbell-Ross, Shari Elle and Linda Rysenbry and participated in their ENCT 8 month program and am now qualified as an accredited EmbodyingNVC Coach (one of a handful in Australia). I have trained internationally with Robert Gonzales in a week long program and have attended a 9 day International Intensive Training. I have also attended a 5 day training in mediation using NVC by two of Sweden’s certified trainers, Liv Larsson and Kay Rung.
1. Training programs,
2. One on one private coaching sessions in person and via Skype or Phone, and
3. Sessions for couples experiencing relationship strain and who want to foster intimacy and connection.
Some comments from a participant at a recent Foundation Training:
“I found nvc to be a really powerful tool for connecting back with myself and with what is actually happening. I found that it takes me back directly into my experience and allows me to come into the clarity, simplicity and 'truth' that I've been seeking for some time when trying to work through tangled situations, feelings etc
I enjoyed and felt completely comfortable in your facilitation, Alistair. I wanted to try NVC with you because I know you have a complete commitment to truth and would not try to push ideas or views onto anyone. I also found that you were completely confident and fluent in the application of NVC and I found your input really valuable in the exercises we did.” (I.L. Legal Secretary - Melbourne)
Some comments from a couple who have completed some sessions with me:
"My husband and I have seen Alistair three times in the last couple of months. We were in deep crisis and thought that being coached in how to have Compassionate Nonviolent Communication (NVC) conversations with each other might help us. How right we were! Alistair is a Master. He has gently and skillfully guided us to a more compassionate approach with each other. In a relatively short space of time our relationship has been totally transformed out of the war zone and into the love zone, which is what we wanted." (V.T. Life Coach - Melbourne)

My main focus is to support couples create or re-create loving relationships.
I do this by helping them to understand where they create disconnection and how they can develop their capacities to not just stop the disconnection but help them find ways to build and foster the intimacy of their connection.
I work with couples who know they love each other but they have difficulty in having a fullfilling relationship.
I also offer private sessions to individuals needing support in their relationships or in preparing for relationship.
