Our Group is a ‘holding’ space for us to be authentic, empathic, non-judgemental, vulnerable … to compassionately connect … in a safe environment – place where we can experiment and ‘put our foot in it’. We meet to support each other to integrate NVC into our lives.

NVC Practice Group

This monthly practice group explores using NVC in everyday life and supporting one another in learning various aspects of NVC. It is a peer-led group and none are certified trainers. We welcome and invite members to lead a session they want to explore with their peers if they feel called. The minimum pre-requisite for entry to this group is the reading of ‘NVC: a Language of Life’ by Marshall Rosenberg in order for you to have a grasp of basic NVC concepts and follow the practice exercises.

Practice Group in Compassionate Communication

The Practice Group in Compassionate Communication offers graduates of Foundation Courses and the online Connecting Through Talk course series the opportunity to practice compassionate communication skills using our program of activities designed to support your continued learning and growth.

Giraffe Yakka: SW Brisbane Compassionate Communication

A Collaborative between North Brisbane Psychologists & One Natural Therapies

This monthly practice group is a chance to apply and integrate your NVC knowledge and practice. We are interested in exploring non-violent communication as a means of self-regulation, self-compassion, co-regulation and compassion for others.
